The Role

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components. Your contributions will be integral to the overall product development process, ensuring that our electronic systems meet stringent specifications and quality standards.

The primary consideration for candidate suitability for this role will be your previous experience in the analogue areas of the role as this experience is vital to enhance the current skillsets within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Utilise expertise in analogue and digital electronics to create efficient and reliable systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into overall products.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure the functionality and reliability of electronic systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electronic components and systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to electronic designs, including schematics, design specifications, and test reports.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the progress of electronic design activities.
  • Ensure that electronic systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry standards.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, OR 5-10 years of relevant experience in electronics design and development.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a leadership or senior role is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in electronic design tools such as CAD software, simulation tools, and PCB layout tools.
  • Strong understanding of both analogue and digital circuit design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in electronic systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
